Firmware

Software built into every device which controls the main functions (ie. switching off, changing music track.) You can view all the different iPods and the latest firmware here.

Generation (G)

A class of iPod - refer to the iPod Generation article.

iPodWizard (iPW)

The iPodWizard program used to alter the iPod's GUI. Also used to refer to the forums.
